In a bid to merge the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa , Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf approached the apex court.
In his petition khan said “The K-P assembly has already passed a resolution for the union of Fata while President Mamnoon Hussain has also announced the Fata Reform Package,”
Further he stated in his petition “ The Constitution of Pakistan in its preamble dictates to observe the principles of democracy, freedom, equality and social justice and also all rights of territories of the federation including the areas of Fata,”
“The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) fulfilled its constitutional requirement and consented to forthwith include areas of Fata into the province of K-P.”
“All arrangements have been made and decisions taken by the K-P government, including the resolution number 848 adopted by the provincial assembly.”
